Ethernet gateway DHCP A Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) server automatically assigns IP addresses to each computer on a network. Unless you already have a DHCP server on your network, it is highly recommended that your Gateway be set up as a DHCP server. Select the DHCP tab of the Expert Interface to view the DHCP screen. DHCP Screen ❑ DHCP Server: Select Enable to enable the Gateway's DHCP server option. If you already have a DHCP server on your network, select Disable. If you disable DHCP, remember to assign a static IP address that is in your local subnet. ❑ Starting IP Address: Enter an initial IP address (or accept the default) for the DHCP server when issuing IP addresses.
