Today Screen The Today screen shows your appointments, active tasks, and information about e-mail messages. Along the top of the Today screen are the connectivity indicators, Volume icon, and the clock. You can tap a section of the Today screen to open the program that is associated with that section. You can always access the Today screen by tapping Start > Today. 1. Tap Start > Settings > Today. 2. On the Appearance tab, select the desired theme for the background of the Today screen. 3. On the Items tab, select the items you want to appear on the Today screen. TIP: To change the order of items displayed on the Today screen, tap the item, and tap Move Up or Move Down. NOTE: There are two softkeys on the bottom of the Today screen: Calendar and Contacts. Calendar and Contact are the default softkeys. All softkeys perform actions, bring up menus, or launch programs by tapping on the screen. When you are in a program, softkeys that are associated with the program appear at the bottom of the screen. TodayPanel Lite You can quickly view and change a variety of options, such as: Icon Name Description TodayPanel Lite Change the TodayPanel Lite options or the Today screen settings. Battery power View the amount of battery power remaining. Set the standby period, time duration for turning off the HP iPAQ, and USB charging method. 17
