Power Off the System Before performing this upgrade procedure, observe the following precautions: 1. Please refer to your system's Owner's Guide for the procedures to power off the system. 2. Unplug the system unit power cord and the power cords of any peripheral devices from the power source 3. Unplug the system unit power cord from the power connector at the back of the power supply. WARNING: Failure to properly shut down and remove power from the system may create a personal hazard, or may result in hardware damage or data corruption. Remove the Existing Mass Storage Module To remove the existing mass storage module follow these steps (See Figure 3): CAUTION: Use care when handling the mass storage module. The mass storage module can be heavy and awkwardly balanced. 1. Disconnect the SCSI interface cables connected to the mass storage module. 2. Unscrew both mass storage module handle screws until they pop out. 3. Pulling on the handles, slide the mass storage module out of the chassis. 4. Disconnect the DC power cables connected to the mass storage devices. 5. Disconnect the SCSI cables connected to the mass storage devices. Power Off the System
Before performing this upgrade procedure, observe the following precautions:

Unplug the system unit power cord and the power cords of any peripheral devices from the
power source
3.
Unplug the system unit power cord from the power connector at the back of the power
supply.

Remove the Existing Mass Storage Module
To remove the existing mass storage module follow these steps (See Figure 3):
CAUTION:
Use care when handling the mass storage module. The mass storage
module can be heavy and awkwardly balanced.
1.
Disconnect the SCSI interface cables connected to the mass storage module.
2.
Unscrew both mass storage module handle screws until they pop out.
3.
Pulling on the handles, slide the mass storage module out of the chassis.
4.
Disconnect the DC power cables connected to the mass storage devices.
5.
Disconnect the SCSI cables connected to the mass storage devices.
