Removal and Replacement Procedures

Preparing the Notebook for
Disassembly
Before you begin any removal or installation procedures:
1. Shut down the notebook. If you are unsure whether the
notebook is off or in Hibernation, turn the computer on and
then shut it down through the operating system.
2. Disconnect all external devices connected to the notebook.
3. Disconnect the power cord.
4. Remove the battery pack.
5. Remove the battery pack by following these steps:

Turn the notebook upside down with the rear facing you.
