Use a flat bladed screwdriver to turn the processor locking screw one-quarter turn counterclockwise 1. 5. Remove the processor from the system board socket 2. ✎ Note that the gold triangle 3 on the processor should be aligned in the front left corner when you install the processor. 5.13 Processor
1. Prepare the notebook for disassembly (Section 5.3).
2. Release the keyboard (Section 5.8).
3. Remove the heat sink (Section 5.12).
4. Use a flat bladed screwdriver to turn the processor locking
screw one-quarter turn counterclockwise

5. Remove the processor from the system board socket

Note that the gold triangle

on the processor should be aligned
in the front left corner when you install the processor.
Removing the Processor
Reverse the above procedure to install the processor.
