Changes to Removable Media Device Cabling New SCSI Cable Added A new SCSI cable is included with your Compaq ProLiant™ ML350 server. This SCSI cable is used to connect devices in the removable media bays to a SCSI channel on the Server Feature Board. Customers installing Wide-Ultra2 or Wide-Ultra3 SCSI devices in the removable media bays can purchase an optional Wide-Ultra3 LVD SCSI cable (PN 166389-B21) from Compaq or use the included SCSI cable to run those devices in Wide-Ultra SCSI mode. NOTE: Because a maximum of two devices can share this SCSI channel, using a Wide-Ultra3 cable will not result in a performance advantage. Illustration Corrected The illustration below replaces Figure 3-22, "Disconnecting the cables," in the Compaq ProLiant ML350 Setup and Installation Guide. The SCSI cable for removable media devices connects to SCSI channel B on the Server Feature Board.
