Configure and identify existing HP Insight Management WBEM Providers through HP SIM 1. Make sure the WMI Mapper is configured in HP SIM. For more information, see Configuring the WMI Mapper in HP SIM. 2. Configure the correct WBEM credentials in HP SIM. 3. Click Options-> Protocol Settings- > Global Protocol Settings, and then populate the WBEM credentials table. 4. Discover ProLiant Windows servers that have the HP Insight Management WBEM Providers installed. 5. Once discovered, the ProLiant Windows servers display in the HP SIM All Systems list. 6. Access the System page and confirm that WBEM is a discovered management protocol (Figure 16). Figure 16. Product Description - Management Protocols list 7. If WBEM does not show up as a protocol, go to the Tools & Links tab on the managed node system page, and then select the System Protocol Settings link. Figure 17 shows the location of the System Protocol Settings link. 18
