NOTE: HP recommends installing your MSA in the sequence of steps listed here and in chapter 1 of this guide. Specific dependencies exist, and if you deviate from this sequence, you may have to uninstall and then reinstall your device. Prerequisites • Install and connect all equipment correctly, as detailed in "Installation procedures-All deployments" on page 13. • Verify that the operating system version installed on the server is supported for use with the MSA. For a current listing of supported operating system versions, see the QuickSpecs, available on the Technical documentation page of the MSA1000 website: http://www.hp.com/go/msa1000 . • If using the ACU, install Netscape Navigator (version 6.2 or later), or Mozilla (version 1.0.2 or later) with Personal Security Manager. • Obtain documentation for the storage configuration tool you plan to use.
