• Additional password security options • Lockout of Admin users that fail authorization. • Flexible E_Port authentication settings, allowing better interoperability options for fabrics with varying levels of support. Certificate authentication is now optional. • Auditing of authorization attempts. FC4-16IP (iSCSI blade) Support for the FC4-16IP iSCSI blade was introduced with FOS 5.2.1b. This support continues with FOS 5.3.0. The FC4-16IP iSCSI blade enables the HP StorageWorks SAN Director 256 to provide iSCSI initiators to FC target connectivity. Please see the Application Notes for the HP StorageWorks B-Series iSCSI Director Blade for more information. Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) support for embedded switches Beginning with Fabric OS 5.2.1b firmware, DHCP is now supported on the following embedded switches: • Brocade 4Gb SAN Switch for HP p-Class BladeSystem • Brocade 4Gb SAN Switch for HP c-Class BladeSystem With SAN switch for HP c-Class BladeSystems, DHCP is enabled by default on rev C or later. The status of DHCP (enabled or disabled) can be observed and changed via either Web Tools or CLI. Enabling or disabling DHCP To enable or disable this feature: 1. Log in with the following default values: • username admin • password password 2. Issue the ipaddrset command. Using External DHCP to set the Ethernet IP address NOTE: This procedure applies to c-Class only. To set the Ethernet IP address via DHCP: 1. Connect to the active OA via a web browser. 2. Document the DHCP-assigned address by selecting the switch from the GUI Rack Overview window. 3. Verify the IP address using a telnet or ssh login to the switch, or by selecting the switch in the OA GUI Rack Overview window. NOTE: This procedure applies to p-Class only. The HP p-Class BladeSystem architecture provides Ethernet (iLO) access to embedded SAN switches only through an external RJ45 connector on the switch; configuration is then similar to that for an external SAN switch.
