Issues and Workarounds JNI 6460 HBA Negotiation If a port speed is changed to 1 Gb and then back to AN, the JNI 6460 HBA negotiates at 1 Gb instead of 2 Gb. To fix this problem, set the port speed to 2 Gb, or disconnect the cable and then reconnect it. The JNI 6460 HBA will again negotiate at 2 Gb. configdownload Command If there are errors in the security database and security is enabled, the configdownload command will fail. To fix this problem, resolve the security database errors and reissue the configdownload command. Login as root If you log in as the root account in order to launch switch admin, any admin/user account information changes you make will not be applied to the switch. To avoid this problem, log in as an admin level account. syslog Message not Forwarded If Quiet mode is enabled, syslog will no longer forward messages to any syslog configured management stations. (Note that the error messages are still available in the Error Log [for example, errShow, errDump].) To avoid this problem, do not use Quiet mode. Relocating Switch Port Cable Relocating the switch port cable causes the loss of dynamic end-to-end monitors residing on the port. Dynamic end-to-end monitors do not move with the device.
