Shut down the server and the storage system. 6. Connect the Fibre Channel host adapter, the RA4000 2. Install the RA4000 Redundant Controller by completing these steps: A. Remove the blank panel located at the rear of the Controller, and the Storage Hub, using the appropriate length of multi-mode Fibre Channel cable. Install the second Compaq Fibre Channel Host Adapter in a convenient slot in the server. Refer to the Compaq StorageWorks Fibre Channel Host Adapter Installation Guide. 5. Install the GigaBit Interface Converter (GBIC) modules in the receptacles provided on the Fibre Channel host adapter, RA4000 Controllers, and Fibre Channel Hubs.
