Note Managing the Disk Array on HP-UX Command parameter ArrayID cntrlrID channel:ID LUN Description Identifies the disk array. The ArrayID may be either the disk array ID (its S/N), or an alias name assigned to the array. Each disk array must have a unique ArrayID. The disk array S/N and alias can be determined using the amdsp -i command. Identifies the controller within the disk array controller subsystem. Values can be either A or B, depending on which slot the controller is installed in. Identifies a disk within the disk array. The channel value indicates the SCSI channel that the disk enclosure containing the disk is connected to. The ID value indicates the SCSI ID assigned to the slot in which the disk is installed. Valid channel values are 1 - 6, and valid SCSI ID values are 0 - 4, 8 12. Identifies a specific LUN on the disk array. Valid LUN values are 0 31. 161

Description
ArrayID
Identifies the disk array. The ArrayID may be either the disk array ID
(its S/N), or an alias name assigned to the array. Each disk array
must have a unique ArrayID. The disk array S/N and alias can be
determined using the amdsp -i command.
cntrlrID
Identifies the controller within the disk array controller subsystem.
Values can be either A or B, depending on which slot the controller is
installed in.
channel:ID
Identifies a disk within the disk array. The channel value indicates the
SCSI channel that the disk enclosure containing the disk is
connected to. The ID value indicates the SCSI ID assigned to the slot
in which the disk is installed.
Valid channel values are 1 - 6, and valid SCSI ID values are 0 - 4, 8 -
12.
LUN
