SETUP menu Item STANDBY MODE MONITOR OUT Description Using ▲/▼ buttons switches the standby mode setting between NORMAL and SAVING. NORMAL ó SAVING When SAVING is selected, the power consumption in the standby mode is lowered with some functional restriction as below: • When SAVING is selected, AUDIO OUT STANDBY setting of AUDIO SOURCE (36) is invalid, and no signal is output from AUDIO OUT port in the standby mode. The combination of a picture shown on screen and output from the MONITOR OUT port can be arranged in the menu. (1) Choose a picture input port using ▲/▼ buttons. COMPUTER IN ó S-VIDEO   STANDBY ó VIDEO • Choose STANDBY, to select the output signal from the MONITOR OUT port in the standby mode. STANDBY settings can be selected individually for NORMAL or SAVING, which is selected in the STANDBY MODE (above). (2) Select the output signal from the MONITOR OUT port using ◄/► buttons. COMPUTER IN ó OFF • OFF disables the MONITOR OUT port. • Initial settings for STANDBY are the following: COMPUTER IN when NORMAL is selected in STANDBY MODE; and OFF when SAVING is selected in STANDBY MODE. 35
