Quick Start Guide 3500 Watt Portable Generator ITEMS NEEDED: Utility Knife 7/16", 9/16" and 1/2" Socket Wrench 7/16", 9/16" and 1/2" Box End Wrench ITEMS INCLUDED: Operator Manual (not shown) (a) Generator with Portability Kit (b) Engine Lubricant Oil Funnel Unleaded Fuel b a 1 unpack generator (a) Do not attempt to lift generator out of the carton. Cut each corner of the carton to open and lay carton flat (see Figure 1). (b) Prior to assembly check to ensure you have all the included ifems. If items are missing or damaged call 1-800-242-4672. 2 basic assembly (a) Move generator to a flat, level surface. (b) Install wheels with enclosed hardware. Figure 1 3 ADD lubricant and FUEL (a) Remove lubricant fill cap (see Figure 2). (b) Use a funnel to pour the supplied lubricant into the engine. Fill to the upper mark of the oil dipstick. Use caution to avoid spilling. (c) Replace lubricant fill cap. (d) Move generator ouside to a flat, level surface. (e) Remove fuel cap (see Figure 3) and fill with REGULAR UNLEADED fuel. Do not overfill. Keep maximum fuel level 1/4 inch below the top of the fuel tank. (f) Replace fuel cap. (b) Move choke control lever fully to the right (see Figure 4). (c) Select the ON postion on the engine ON/OFF switch (see Figure 4). (d) Start generator by slowly pulling on the starter rope handle (see Figure 4) until resistance is felt. Then pull cord rapidly to overcome compression to start engine. (e) Slowly move choke control lever fully to the left as engine warms. (b) Plug in items to be powered, using only grounded extension cords. WARNING: DO NOT overload generator or electrical cords. Figure 5 7 shut down and storage procedures (a) Before shutting engine off, unplug all electrical loads. (b) Let engine run for 2 minutes. (c) Turn engine ON/OFF to OFF (see Figure 4). (d) Turn fuel valve to OFF (see Figure 4). (e) If generator is to be stored for longer than 30 days, refer to the operator's manual for further instructions.
