Operating Instructions Safety Instructions Care and cleaning of the range. Be sure electrical power is off and all surfaces are cool before cleaning any part of the range. WARNING: If your range is removed for cleaning, servicing or any reason, be sure the anti-tip device is re-engaged properly when the range is replaced. Failure to take this precaution could result in tipping of the range and cause injury. Griddle (on some models) NOTES: ■ The griddle is to be used over the center burner only. ■ Do not clean the griddle in a dishwasher. ■ Wash with hot, soapy water after each use while using a sponge or dishcloth. ■ If oil or food residue is left on the griddle, further cooking will harden the residue and cause sticking over time. In this case, use a non-abrasive cleanser such as Bon Ami® or one of the soft scrub cleansers. Apply with a sponge, Scrunge® or other cleaning pad labeled safe for non-stick pans ■ Use only plastic, nylon or wooden utensils or SilverStone® kitchen tools to prevent marring of the coating. ■ Never use knives or cut food on the griddle. Wash with hot, soapy water after each use. Store carefully to prevent scratching. Griddle Precautions: ■ If something has spilled under the griddle, it should be cleaned up as soon as possible to prevent "baked on" food soil. ■ Do not allow grease to accumulate under the griddle as it can be a fire hazard. Clean under the griddle as soon as it is cool. Clean with hot soapy water. ■ Do not place your griddle in the microwave. ■ Always turn off all surface burners before removing the griddle. Use caution when handling a hot griddle. Installation Instructions Consumer Support Troubleshooting Tips 26
