11-9-2005 Chapter 1. Introduction This chapter describes the characteristics of the IBM 4810 SurePOS 300, which includes the machine type 4910. Product summary | The 4810 consists of a personal computer (PC) core with expansion slots, | Electronic Industries Association (EIA) 232 connectors, an Ethernet LAN adapter, | and built-in video (VGA) support. In addition to these features, the 4910 SurePOS | Express Model includes bundled I/O that may vary according to country and | geographic region. Designed specifically for distributed environments, the 4810 can | be mounted vertically or horizontally under a check stand or counter. Features | Table 1-1 describes the features of the 4810/4910 SurePOS 300. Table 1-1.
