Intel Desktop Board D975XBX2 Product Guide Installing an External Serial ATA Adapter If you are installing an external Serial ATA (eSATA) adapter to the desktop motherboard, follow these instructions (see Figure 26): 1. Observe the precautions in "Before You Begin" on page 25. 2. Attach the connector at the end of the adapter cable to the red SATA header on the desktop board. 3. Installing an External Serial ATA Adapter
If you are installing an external Serial ATA (eSATA) adapter to the desktop
motherboard, follow these instructions (see Figure 26):
1.

2.
Attach the connector at the end of the adapter cable to the red SATA header on the
desktop board.
3.
Secure the metal bracket at the other end of the adapter to the chassis back panel
with a screw.
