Desktop Board Features SATA Support The board provides four SATA 3.0 Gb/s channels, through the PCH, which support one device per channel. Expandability Intel Desktop Board DH61CR provides the following expansion capability: • One PCI Express 2.0 x16 interface • Two PCI Express 2.0 x1 interfaces • One Conventional PCI bus interface Legacy I/O The board's Legacy I/O Controller provides the following legacy features: • PS/2 back panel connector for mouse/keyboard support • One serial port header • One parallel port connector on the back panel • Serial IRQ interface compatible with serialized IRQ support for Conventional PCI bus systems • Intelligent power management, including a programmable wake-up event interface • Conventional PCI bus power management support The BIOS Setup program provides configuration options for the Legacy I/O controller. BIOS The BIOS provides the Power-On Self-Test (POST), the BIOS Setup program, and the PCI/PCI Express and SATA auto-configuration utilities. The BIOS is stored in the Serial Peripheral Interface (SPI) Flash memory device. The BIOS can be updated by following the instructions in Chapter 3 starting on page 59. 19
