Invacare® Homecare Beds 4.5 Assembling the Spring Fabric 4.6 Adjusting and Reconnecting the Head Section Pull Tube 1. Lift the head spring C away from the bed frame to give slack to the fabric. 2. Connect the spring fabric A together with the links B provided. 1. To disconnect the head pull tube assembly A from the side frame of the foot spring, remove the hitch pin E and grommet/washer F from the clevis pin G. 2. Extend the inner pull tube shaft C manually until the spring button "clicks" into the adjustment hole of the outer pull tube D. 3. Connect the pull tube end assembly A to the lift arm of the head spring as follows: a. Insert the clevis pin G into the lift arm slot H. b. Replace the grommet/washer F. c. Secure with hitch pin E. 22 1114836-H-05

Assembling the Spring Fabric
1.
Lift the head spring

away from the bed frame to give
slack to the fabric.

Connect the spring fabric
A
together with the links

provided.

Adjusting and Reconnecting the Head
Section Pull Tube
1.
To disconnect the head pull tube assembly
A
from the
side frame of the foot spring, remove the hitch pin

and grommet/washer

from the clevis pin

2.
Extend the inner pull tube shaft

manually until the
spring button "clicks" into the adjustment hole of the
outer pull tube

Connect the pull tube end assembly

to the lift arm

a. Insert the clevis pin
