Presetting Stations You can preset up to 30 FM stations and up to 15 AM stations into memory. Auto Presetting (Using the Unit) - In each band, you can automatically preset FM-30, AM-15 stations. Preset numbers will be allocated as stations are found, starting from the station currently tuned to and moving up the frequency. (Band select) (Auto preset) TUNER BAND TUNER BAND (for 2 seconds) AUTO PRESET AUTO PRESET I1. Select a band (AM or FM) by pressing the TUNER BAND button. I2. Press the TUNER BAND button for more than 2 seconds. "AUTO" appears, and then auto presetting starts. I3. Repeat steps 1-2 for the other band. I If you want to change any of the auto preset stations, follow the procedure for Manual Presetting. CAUTION: To prevent the preset stations from being erased because of a power failure, etc., install memory backup batteries in the System.(See page 2.) Otherwise, they will be erased in approx. half a day. Manual Presetting (Using the Unit) - TUNER BAND AUTO PRESET MANUAL/ PRESET TUNING (Station Select) MULTI CONTROL MANUAL/ PRESET TUNING (for 2 sec) (Preset No. Select) MULTI CONTROL (Press & hold ) MANUAL/ PRESET TUNING MANUAL/ PRESET TUNING MANUAL/ PRESET TUNING I1. Select a band by pressing the TUNER BAND button. I2. Press the 7 button on the Unit until "MANUAL (Manual Tuning mode)" appears on the display. I3. Press the 4 or ¢ button to tune in a station. I4. Press the 7 button for 2 seconds or more. The preset number and band/frequency are alternately displayed for 5 seconds. Manual Presetting (Using the Remote Control) [RD-T70BU Only]--- TUNER BAND MANUAL/ PRESET TUNING Number key(s) (hold for 2 seconds) (On the Unit) I1. Select a band by pressing the TUNER BAND button. I2. Press the 7 button on the Unit until "MANUAL (Manual Tuning mode)" appears on the display. I3. Press the 4 or ¢ button to tune in a station. I4. Set the preset number by pressing and hold- ing the number key on the Remote Control until "STORED" appears on the display. • To preset numbers 1 to 10: Press the number key and hold it down for 2 seconds. • To preset numbers 11 to 19: Press the +10 button, then press the second number key (1 to 9) and hold it down for 2 seconds. • To preset numbers 21 to 29: Press the +10 button twice, then press the second number key (1 to 9) and hold it down for 2 seconds. • To preset number 30: Press the +10 button twice, then press and hold 10 button. Example: Preset number = 12 I5. Repeat steps 2 - 4 for further presetting. To change the preset stations, repeat the same steps as above. To Change the FM Reception Mode The "STEREO" indicator lights up and you can hear stereo effects, when a program is broadcast in stereo. However if an FM stereo broadcast is hard to receive or noisy, you can select Monaural mode. Reception improves, but you lose any stereo effect. Press the TUNER BAND button to select FM MONO mode. The "MONO" indicator lights up on the display. To restore the stereo effect, press the TUNER BAND button to select FM Auto mode. The "MONO" indicator goes out. I5. Within 5 seconds, repeatedly press the 4 or ¢ button until the preset number you want appears, then press and hold the 7 button until "STORED" appears on the display. I6. Repeat steps 2-5 for further presetting. To change the preset stations, repeat the same procedure as above. 6

1. Select a band (AM or FM) by pressing the
TUNER BAND button.
2. Press the TUNER BAND button for more
than 2 seconds.
“AUTO” appears, and then auto presetting starts.
3. Repeat steps 1-2 for the other band.
If you want to change any of the auto preset stations, follow the
procedure for Manual Presetting.

ing the number key on the Remote Control

it down for 2 seconds.
To preset numbers 11 to 19: Press the +10 button, then
press the second number key (1 to 9) and hold it down for 2
seconds.
To preset numbers 21 to 29: Press the +10 button twice,
then press the second number key (1 to 9) and hold it down
for 2 seconds.
To preset number 30: Press the +10 button twice, then press
and hold 10 button.
Example: Preset number = 12
5. Repeat steps 2 - 4 for further presetting.
To change the preset stations,

The “STEREO” indicator lights up and you can hear stereo effects,
when a program is broadcast in stereo.
However if an FM stereo broadcast is hard to receive or noisy, you
