Tighten screw. A B C 4-wire connection: Direct Wire IMPORTANT: A 4-wire connection is required for mobile homes and where local codes do not permit the use of 3-wire connections. Direct wire cable must have 5 ft (1.52 m) of extra length so dryer can be moved if needed. Strip 5" (127 mm) of outer covering from end of cable, leaving bare ground wire at 5" (127 mm). Cut 11/2"(38 mm) from 3 remaining wires. Strip insulation back 1" (25 mm). Shape ends of wires into a hook shape. E s""/i A.
