OPTION UNIT INSTRUCTION MANUAL PRECAUTIONS This product is exclusively for use with KENWOOD transceivers. To prevent possible accidents and damages, do not attempt to use this product with other types of transceivers. Mishandling may cause the accidents and damages to this product. Please observe the following prohibitive matters. • Do not expose the unit to rain or moisture; to prevent fire or electric shock. • Do not open the unit under any circumstances; to avoid risk of electric shock. • Do not expose the unit to long periods of direct sunlight, nor place it close to heating appliances. • Do not place the unit in excessively dusty and/or humid areas, nor on unstable surfaces. • Do not touch the power plug when your hands are wet to avoid risk of electric shock. • Do not remove the case. Accidentally touching an internal part may result in serious electric shock. • If a metal object such as a hair pin or a needle comes into contact with the power socket on the rear panel, a dangerous electric shock may occur. • Keep children away from the unit, to avoid unnecessary risk of harm to the child. • If you detect an abnormal odor or smoke coming from the unit, disconnect the power from the unit immediately. Contact your KENWOOD dealer. • Do not block the air vent of the power supply. Only DC POWER SUPPLY • Always remove the plug from an AC outlet by pulling on the plug, not the cable. • Position the AC cable so it will not be stepped on, tripped over, nor subjected to damage. • Plug the AC cable only into a grounded AC outlet. © 2015 B5A-1083-00
