Battery Save This transceiver has been designed to give you the most out of your battery power. The battery save function decreases the amount of power used when a signal is not being received and no operations are being performed. While using the transceiver, battery save will automatically switch ON after 5 seconds have elapsed with no operations or received calls. Operating the transceiver or receiving a call will switch this feature OFF until 5 seconds of non-operation occurs again. To turn this function on or off: 1 With the transceiver power OFF, press and hold the MENU key while turning the transceiver power ON (for 1 second). 2 Press the or key to select "bS". 3 Press the MENU key then press or to select "bS-on" (battery save on) or "bS-oF" (battery save off). 4 Press the MENU key to confirm the selection. 5 Press the PTT, MON, or CAL key to exit Setting Mode. 38
