ENGLISH REPLACING THE WATER FILTER It is recommended that you replace the filter when the water filter indicator light turns on or the water dispenser or icemaker noticeably decreases production. NOTE: Filter Bypass Plug Keep the filter bypass plug. You must use the filter bypass plug when a replacement filter cartridge is not available. The icemaker will not operate without the filter or filter bypass plug inserted in the proper compartment. Seperation of Red Cap 1 Slowly turn the old cartridge to the left. When the cartridge is released, you will feel it click out of place. NOTE: Replacing the filter causes a small amount of water (around 1 oz. or 25 cc) to drain. 2 Remove the old cartridge. Take the new cartridge out of its packaging, and remove the red cap. Line up the cartridge ears so that it can be inserted into the filter head. After replacing the filter, flush 2.5 gallons through filter before use (flush for approximately 5 minutes). Check the filter for leaks. 3 Twist the cartridge right about 1/4 turn. You will feel a stop and the locked symbol should now be lined up with the indicator line. After changing the filter, press and hold the FILTER button for 3 seconds to turn the indicator light off. REPLACING THE WATER FILTER
It is recommended that you replace the filter when
the water filter indicator light turns on or the water
dispenser or icemaker noticeably decreases
production.
NOTE: Filter Bypass Plug
Keep the filter bypass plug.
You must use the filter bypass plug when a
replacement filter cartridge is not available.
The icemaker will not operate without the filter or
filter bypass plug inserted in the proper compartment.
After replacing the filter, flush 2.5 gallons through
