Important When you receive a new hard disk drive, you also receive a set of Product Recovery discs. The set of Product Recovery discs enables you to restore the contents of the hard disk drive to the factory-installed state. For more information on recovering factory-installed software, refer to Chapter 3, "Recovery information," on page 41. To replace the hard disk drive: 1. Remove all media from the drives and turn off all attached devices and the computer. Then, disconnect all power cords from electrical outlets and disconnect all cables that are connected to the computer. 2. Remove the computer cover. See "Removing the computer cover" on page 16. 3.
