Initializing Power On Initialize Before working with the additional commands, you need to familiarize yourself with the Power On Initialization. This is used to set up the printer each time it is powered On. With the Power On events, it is possible to set up four strings of 1024 bytes each which are sent to the printer at power On. The events can be used to download a small logo or set the printer to a specific emulation. Power On sequence 1 Power On, events 0, 1 and 2 are triggered. 2 DEFMPP (Max print positions) is selected. 3 DEFCPI (CPI) (option 100) triggers event 31, 32, 33, 34, or 35. 4 DEFLPI (LPI) is selected. 5 DEFLPP (Form length) is selected. 6 DEFPRTQLT (Print quality) is selected. 7 DEFSRCDRW (Source drawer) is selected depending on the SCRDRW (source drawer definition). 8 Power On event 3 is triggered TN5250e Printer Commands Using IDB: Initializing - Power On Initialize 262
