The MM8077 is rated at 150 watts in 8 ohms for each of the 7 channels (continuous), and can deliver 180 watts into 6 ohms. Connectivity, Flexibility & Expandability n XLR balanced / unbalanced selection function Choose between balanced (XLR) and unbalanced (RCA) inputs for each channel for maximum system configuration flexibility. n A wealth of possibilities for system upgrades A variety of systems, including 11-channel systems, can be built by combining the MM8077 with the 5-channel MM7705. Control & Convenience n Low-power standby mode For environmental and energy-saving considerations, power consumption during standby mode has been reduced to less than 0.4 W. n Auto-standby mode The MM8077 automatically switches to standby mode when there has been no signal for 30 minutes. This prevents power from being wasted whenever you forget to turn the power off. n High power, high current power supply with toroidal power transformer The high power, high current power supply features a massive toroidal power transformer that can easily handle substantial short term power peaks. The high capacity power supply capacitors, 100,000µ total, contribute to the amplifier's ability to deliver short term bursts of power when needed, which is especially helpful when driving difficult-to-drive lower impedance speakers. n Remote power on/off control When the Marantz AV8801 or AV7701 pre-amplifier is connected to the MM8077, the remote power control feature links the power ON/OFF function of the pre-amplifier to the MM8077. Marantz Audio Advantages
n
Current feedback discrete power amplifier
The Marantz current feedback discrete power
amplifier topology employs high current, wide
bandwidth power transistors that feature high slew
rate along with low impedance drive capability, for
maximum operating bandwidth and solid perfor-
mance with difficult speaker loads. The MM8077
is rated at 150 watts in 8 ohms for each of the 7
channels (continuous), and can deliver 180 watts
into 6 ohms.
n
High power, high current power supply with
toroidal power transformer
The high power, high current power supply fea-
tures a massive toroidal power transformer that
can easily handle substantial short term power
peaks. The high capacity power supply capaci-
tors, 100,000µ total, contribute to the amplifier’s
ability to deliver short term bursts of power when
needed, which is especially helpful when driving
difficult-to-drive lower impedance speakers.
Connectivity, Flexibility &
Expandability
n
XLR balanced / unbalanced selection function
Choose between balanced (XLR) and unbalanced
(RCA) inputs for each channel for maximum sys-
tem configuration flexibility.
n
A wealth of possibilities for system upgrades
A variety of systems, including 11-channel sys-
tems, can be built by combining the MM8077 with
the 5-channel MM7705.
n
Remote power on/off control
When the Marantz AV8801 or AV7701 pre-amplifier
is connected to the MM8077, the remote power
control feature links the power ON/OFF function of
the pre-amplifier to the MM8077.
Control & Convenience
n
Low-power standby mode
For environmental and energy-saving consider-
ations, power consumption during standby mode
has been reduced to less than 0.4 W.
n
Auto-standby mode
The MM8077 automatically switches to standby
mode when there has been no signal for 30 min-
utes. This prevents power from being wasted
whenever you forget to turn the power off.
