When the singer stops singing, the vocals are automatically unmuted. Slide the AUTO VOCAL switch to the ON position to hear the instruments, but not the vocals. IMPORTANT: This feature only works with multiplex CDs. Slide the MONITOR switch to select what image will appear on the monitor (CAMERA, CD GRAPHICS or MONITOR OFF). FUNCTION SWITCH 1 CDG/CAMERA SWITCH 1 MIC ON/OFF SWITCH 1 Slide to the CDG position when using CDG or CDs, slide to the TAPE position when playing tapes or slide to the AUX position when listening to the unit connected to the A/V IN jacks on the rear of the unit. When connected to an external TV, slide this switch to the CAMERA position to see the image from the camera on the external TV. During playback of a CD+G disc, slide to the CDG position to see the song's lyrics on the external TV. To turn the microphone on, slide the ON/OFF switch, located on the side of the microphone, to the ON position. To turn the microphone off, slide the ON/OFF switch to the OFF position. NOTE: During playback of a CD or CD+G disc, the camera's images can still be observed on an external TV if the CDG/CAMERA switch on the rear of the unit is set to the CAMERA position. 9
