Editing Pictures Use this camera to edit pictures in-camera and store them as separate files (A156). Editing function Quick retouch(A75) D-Lighting(A76) Crop (A77) Small picture(A78) Black border(A79) Description Easily create a copy with enhanced contrast and richer colors. Create a copy of the current picture with enhanced brightness and contrast, brightening dark portions of the picture. Crop picture. Enlarge the image or refine the composition and create a copy containing only the portion visible in the monitor. Create a small copy of pictures suitable for use on web pages or as e-mail attachments. Create a copy with a black frame along border of the picture that provides a little more impact. More on Playback C Notes on Picture Editing • Editing other than Black border cannot be performed on pictures shot with Image size (A108) of I 3984×2656, G 3968×2232, and H 2992×2992 and pictures shot on Continuous H (16:9) setting (A58). • This camera's editing functions cannot be used for pictures taken with another make or model of camera. • If a copy created using this camera is viewed on another make or model of camera, the picture may not be displayed or may not be transferred to a computer. • Editing functions are not available when there is not enough free space in the internal memory or on the memory card. D Original Pictures and Edited Copies • Copies created with editing functions are not deleted if the original pictures are deleted. The original pictures are not deleted if copies created with editing functions are deleted. • Edited copies are stored with the same recording date and time as the original. • Even if the pictures that are marked for Print set (A103) or Protect (A132) are used for editing, these settings will not be reflected on the edited copies. 74
