Quiet Shutter Release Choose this mode to keep camera noise to a minimum. A beep does not sound when the camera focuses. 1 Press the I (E) button. 2 Select J (Quiet shutter release). Highlight J (Quiet shutter release) and press J. I (E) button 3 Take photographs. Press the shutter-release button all the way down to shoot. A Quiet Shutter Release In quiet shutter-release mode, the mirror does not click back into place while the shutter-release button is fully pressed, allowing the photographer to control the timing of the click made by the mirror, which is also quieter than in single-frame mode.
