These data are displayed in the photo information location data page (0 188). ❚❚ Attaching a GPS Unit Turn the camera off and connect the GPS unit to the accessory terminal (0 325) using the cable supplied with the unit. See the GPS unit manual for more information. ❚❚ Setup Menu Options The Location data item in the setup menu contains the options listed below. • Standby timer: Choose whether the exposure meters turn off automatically when a GPS unit is attached. Option Description Enable Exposure meters turn off automatically if no operations are performed for the time selected for Custom Setting c2 (Standby timer, 0 251; to allow the camera time to acquire location data, the delay is extended by up to one minute after the exposure meters are activated or the camera is turned on). This reduces the drain on the battery. Disable Exposure meters do not turn off while a GPS unit is connected. t • Position: This item is only available if a GPS unit is connected, when it displays the current latitude, longitude, altitude, and Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) as reported by the GPS unit. • Set clock from satellite: Select Yes to synchronize the camera clock with the time reported by the GPS unit. 170
