To send a text message: 1 Press Menu 1-1-1 (Menu > Messages > Text messages > Write message). 2 Enter your message of up to 160 characters and press Options. As you enter your message, a count of the remaining number of characters appears in the top right corner of the screen. If you need to exit while writing the message, press anytime.
