Adjusting the brightness (Exposure compensation) The standard brightness (appropriate exposure) set by the camera based on the shooting mode (except for A) can be adjusted brighter or darker to obtain a desired shot. 1 Press the F button. Shooting close-ups (Macro shooting) This function enables the camera to focus and shoot subjects at close distances. 1 Press the & button. P OFF EXPOSURE COMP. SET OK 0.0 +0.3 OFF % & OFF +0.7 +1.0 Exposure compensation value 2 Use klmn to select the image showing the desired brightness, and then press the E button. 2 Use mn to select the setting option, and press the E button to set. Item OFF MACRO SUPER MACRO*3 Description Macro mode is deactivated. This enables shooting as close as 10 cm/3.9 in.*1 (60 cm/23.6 in.*2) to the subject. This enables shooting as close as 2 cm/0.8 in. to the subject. Subjects at 70 cm/27.6 in. or farther cannot be brought into focus. *1 When the zoom is at the widest (W) position. *2 When the zoom is at the most telephoto (T) position. *3 The zoom is automatically fixed. The flash (p. 19) and zoom (p. 19) cannot be set when [% SUPER MACRO] is selected. 20 EN
