Chapter 5 Self-timer shooting This function is useful for taking pictures where you want to be included in the photograph. Use a tripod to stabilize the camera. Mode dial setting 1 In the top menu, select MODE MENU T ÑñÉbuttons CAMERA T T ON. Press . Shutter button 2 Press the shutter button fully to start self-timer shooting. ● The self-timer lamp lights up for approximately 10 seconds, then starts blinking. After blinking for approximately 2 seconds, the picture is taken. (In the mode, recording starts.) ● To stop the self-timer, press . The selftimer stops and the self-timer lamp will turn off. ● To stop shooting while in the mode, press the shutter button fully again. button Self-timer lamp Note ● The self-timer mode is not saved after the power is turned off even if All Reset is set to OFF (P. 143). ● The self-timer mode is canceled automatically when shooting is finished. ● In the mode, the camera automatically stops shooting when it goes over the maximum recording time. ● If the self-timer shooting is attempted when the still picture shooting mode (P, A/S/M is set to sequential shooting, the camera shoots 5 frames automatically. 91
