Making/Answering Calls Using the Base Unit Making cellular calls Available for: KX-TG7641 series (page 3) 1 Dial the phone number. a Press MCELL 1N or MCELL 2N. 2 When the other party answers, speak into the microphone. R Speak alternately with the other party. 3 When you finish talking, press MSP-PHONEN. Note: R For best performance, use the speakerphone in a quiet environment. R While on a call, you can switch from the base unit to the handset: With the call sharing mode on (page 33), press MCELLN on the handset. a MbN: Select the desired cellular phone. a MSELECTN a Press MSP-PHONEN on the base unit. - When only 1 cellular phone is registered or the line is set to make cellular calls (page 22), press MCELLN on the handset, then press MSP-PHONEN on the base unit. If the handset is on the base unit, simply lift it. Adjusting the speaker volume Press MDN or MCN repeatedly while talking. Making a cellular call using the redial list The last 10 phone numbers dialed are stored in the redial list (each 48 digits max.). 1 M N REDIAL 2 MbN: Select the desired phone number. 3 Press MCELL 1N or MCELL 2N. Erasing a number in the redial list 1 M N REDIAL 2 MbN: Select the desired phone number. a MERASEN 3 MbN: "Yes" a M N 4 MnN (EXIT) Making landline calls 1 Dial the phone number. a MSP-PHONEN 2 When the other party answers, speak into the microphone. 3 When you finish talking, press MSP-PHONEN. Note: R While on a call, you can switch from the base unit to the handset: Press M N on the handset, then press MSP-PHONEN on the base unit with the call sharing mode on (page 33). If the handset is on the base unit, simply lift it. Making a call using the redial list 1 M N REDIAL 2 MbN: Select the desired phone number. 3 MSP-PHONEN Pause (for PBX/long distance service users) A pause is sometimes required when making calls using a PBX or long distance service.
