9. Why do I need Wireless LAN Support? The AJ-HPX3100 can connect wirelessly to a LAN through our new *AJ-WM30 Wireless Module and *AJ-SFU3100 Wireless software. This enables the use of a PC or Mac, or mobile devices, such as a Panasonic Toughbook U1 Tablet, an iPad, or a Smart Phone for fast metadata input. Further, when used in conjunction with the AJ-YDX30 Proxy board, this allows for remote viewing of proxy video. Yes. The HPX3100 offers several gamma settings, including FilmRec 600%, which helps the camera to capture increased dynamic range. Until now, Film-Rec 600% has been only available in the P2 VariCam 2700/3700 models. Other features include Dynamic Range Stretch (DRS), which reduces blocked shadows and blown highlights in scenes where bright and dark objects coexist, as well as Chromatic Aberration Compensation (CAC), which compensates for the aberrations found in some lenses.
