1 Others Menus (cont.) 84 SETUP menu Item DISPLAY DATE/TIME DATE FORMAT FORMAT CARD QUICK START POWER SAVE Purpose Display current information or settings on the LCD monitor. •Even when [OFF] is set, the operating status, date, world time and underwater mode displays remain displayed. Select the date and time display mode. Select the date display format. Format SD cards. Start recording instantly. Shut off power if the unit is not being operated. This function does not work in the following cases. •While using the AC adaptor •While connected to a computer or printer via USB AUDIO REC Set the audio recording mode. In this unit, the audio mode cannot be changed after recording, but if MotionSD STUDIO provided with the unit is used, sound can be recorded on DVD discs using [DOLBY] or on SD cards using [MPEG]. BEEP SOUND Allow operations such as starting and ending recording to be signaled by a beep. When [ON] Beep: •When recording starts or power is turned on •When a computer or printer is recognized Beep-Beep: •When recording stops or power is shut off Beep-Beep, Beep-Beep ... (4 times consecutively): •If an error that prevents recording occurs, etc. Check the message (P.88) that appears on the LCD monitor. POWER LCD Brighten the LCD monitor more than usual. LCD SET TV ASPECT EXT. DISPLAY RESUME PLAY INITIAL SET DEMO MODE Adjust brightness or color density of the LCD monitor. Display images at the aspect ratio of a connected TV. Display information on a connected TV. Continue playback from the point it was stopped. Return all settings except for [LANGUAGE] and [CLOCK SET] to their defaults at the time of purchase. Display an introduction to the unit (demonstration mode). The demonstration stops when any operation except pressing the [AUTO] or [MANUAL AF/MF] button is performed, but it will resume if no operations are performed for approx. 10 or more minutes. VQT1M21
