Panasonic’s AVC-ULTRA is a unified family of codecs that seamlessly work
together to meet all your pro video encoding needs. The first family of advanced

compliant with the H.264/AVC standard. Although not H.264 based, Panasonic
has also included the full DV, DVCPRO, DVCPRO50 and DVCPRO HD codec
family in the new encoding ASIC, so you can still utilize the DVCPRO family of
formats as needed.
