Adjustable Needle Position When a straight stitch is selected, the stitch width dial can be used to adjust the needle position from 0-6 mm. This is convenient when you need to adjust the position of the stitch for example when topstitching. On model 140s the needle position is adjusted from the center to the right. Model 160s Model 140s Reverse Sewing Press the reverse lever down to sew in reverse.
