3 Get started Always follow the instructions in this chapter in sequence. Connect power Caution •• Risk of product damage! Make sure that the power supply voltage corresponds to the voltage printed on the back of the unit. •• Risk of electric shock! When you unplug the AC power cord, always pull the plug from the socket. Never pull the cord. •• Before you connect the AC power cord, make sure that you have completed all the other connections. • To switch the unit to standby mode, press on the top panel. • To switch the unit on from standby mode, press again. Tip •• If the speaker stays idle for more than 15 minutes, it switches to standby mode automatically. Install/replace microphone batteries Caution •• Risk of explosion! Keep batteries away from heat, sunshine, or fire. Never discard batteries in fire. •• Danger of explosion if batteries are incorrectly replaced. Replace only with the same or equivalent type. •• Batteries contain chemical substances, so they should be disposed of properly. 1 Open the battery compartment and take out the battery cartridge. • Connect the AC power cord to • the AC MAINS~ socket on the back of the Bluetooth® speaker. • the wall power socket. Switch on the Bluetooth® speaker • Press on the top of the Bluetooth® speaker. »» The power indicator lights up white. »» The Bluetooth indicator flashes blue slowly. 8 EN 2 Insert 3 x AAA batteries (supplied) into the cartridge with correct polarity (+/-) as indicated.
