Settings (Menu 5-8) Messages Short messages Using this menu, you can set up default SMS information. The following options are available: Service centre: allows you to store or change the number of your SMS centre required when sending messages. You must obtain this number from your service provider. Validity period: allows you to set the length of time your messages are stored at the message centre while attempts are made to deliver them. Message type: allows you to set the message type to Text, Fax, Voice, ERMES, X400, or E-Mail. The network can convert the messages into the selected format. Reply path: allows the recipient of your SMS message to send you a reply via your message centre, if the service is provided by the network. Delivery report: allows you to set on or off. When this function is set to on, the network informs you whether or not your message has been delivered. Multimedia messages Using this menu, you can set up default settings for sending or receiving MMS message.
