Messages To enable or disable this channel, press the Select soft key, then select Enable or Disable. The Add channel option allows you to add a new channel to the channel list. Enter the appropriate channel code obtained from your service provider and a title for the channel. Language: selects the language you prefer. Then, You can receive cell broadcast messages only in the language you selected. Settings Short messages Using this menu, you can set up default SMS information. The following options are available: Service centre: allows you to store or change the number of your SMS centre required when sending messages. You must obtain this number from your service provider. Validity period: allows you to set the length of time your messages are stored at the message centre while attempts are made to deliver them. Message type: allows you to set the message type to Text, Fax, Voice, ERMES, X400, or E-Mail. The network can convert the messages into the selected format. Reply path: allows the recipient of your SMS message to send you a reply via your message centre, if the service is provided by the network. 110
