Entering Text Your Sprint PCS Phone provides four different ways to enter words, letters, punctuation, and numbers whenever you are required to enter text (for example, when entering a Phone Book entry or when using the phone's messaging features). They are: ⅷ T9 - Allows you to enter text using a predictive text entering system that reduces the amount of keys that need to be pressed while entering a word. Also allows you to select all uppercase, sentence case, or underline. ⅷ Alpha (ABC) - Allows you to cycle through the alpha characters associated with the letters on the keypad. Also allows you to select all uppercase, all lowercase, sentence case, and underline. ⅷ Symbol - Allows you to enter symbols using the numeric keypad. ⅷ Number (123) - Allows you to enter the numbers by pressing the corresponding number on the keypad. 26
