PINTUCK FOOT #2500264.06 M/C Code: MA, MB, CA, CB, CC, EA, EB, EC The Pintuck Foot is used for heirloom sewing, embellishing garments, table linens and bed linens. Generally, this foot is used with a twin needle (SINGER® Style 2025) to create evenly-spaced raised tucks in the fabric. It works best with very fine to medium weight fabrics. A series of grooves on the underside of the foot keep the tucks from being flattened and serves as guides for stitching parallel rows of tucks. 1. Snap on the Pintuck Foot. 2. Insert a narrow twin needle. 3. Thread the machine with two spools of thread. 4. Increase the top thread tension. 5. Set the machine for a straight stitch. 6. Using a marking tool, mark the first row of stitching (can be straight or wavy). 7. Position the fabric under the foot aligning the marking with the center of the foot and stitch the first tuck. 8. To stitch the second tuck, position the first tuck into one of the other grooves. Which groove used will determine the spacing of the tucks. *Models 4208 and 4212 require the optional universal shank part #250052596 Note: A contrasting thread will produce a more pronounced tuck.
