◆ AUDIO (HDMI) Selects the type of audio signal output from the HDMI OUT jack. AUTO Normally, select this. Outputs audio signals according to the "DIGITAL OUT" settings (page 66). Converts Dolby Digital, or 96 kHz/24 bit PCM signals to 48 kHz/16 bit PCM. Settings for the Sound (AUDIO SETUP) "AUDIO SETUP" allows you to set the sound according to the playback and connection conditions. Select "AUDIO SETUP" in the Setup Display. To use the display, see "Using the Setup Display" (page 60). The default settings are underlined. Settings and Adjustments
AUDIO (HDMI)
Selects the type of audio signal output from
the HDMI OUT jack.
Note
A loud noise (or no sound) will be output if you
connect the player to a TV that is not compatible
with DOLBY DIGITAL/DTS signals and “AUTO”
is selected. In this case, select “PCM.”
Settings for the Sound
(AUDIO SETUP)
“AUDIO SETUP” allows you to set the sound
according to the playback and connection
conditions.
Select “AUDIO SETUP” in the Setup
Display. To use the display, see “Using the
Setup Display” (page 60).
The default settings are underlined.

If the playback sound is distorted, set this
item to “ON.” The player reduces the audio
output level.
This function affects the output of the LINE

Makes the sound clear when the volume is
turned down when playing a DVD that
