Owner's Record The serial number is located on the bottom of the product. Record the serial number in the space provided below. Refer to them whenever you call upon your Sony dealer regarding this product. Model No. LF-S50G Serial No. WARNING To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do not expose the AC adaptor to rain or moisture. To reduce the risk of fire, do not cover the ventilation opening of the appliance with newspapers, tablecloths, curtains, etc. Do not expose the appliance to naked flame sources (for example, lighted candles). To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do not expose the AC adaptor to dripping or splashing, and do not place objects filled with liquids, such as vases, on the AC adaptor. Do not install the appliance in a confined space, such as a bookcase or built-in cabinet. As the main plug of AC Adaptor is used to disconnect the AC adaptor from the mains, connect it to an easily accessible AC outlet. Should you notice an abnormality in it, disconnect it from the AC outlet immediately. The unit is not disconnected from the AC power source (mains) as long as it is connected to the wall outlet. CAUTION You are cautioned that any changes or modifications not expressly approved in this manual could void your authority to operate this equipment. But it is desirable that it should be installed and operated keeping the radiator at least 20 cm or more away from person's body. This equipment must not be co-located or operated in conjunction with any other antenna or transmitter. If your skin touches the AC adaptor or this product for a long time when the power is on, it may cause a low temperature injury. For customers in Canada CAN ICES-3 B/NMB-3 B This device complies with Industry Canada's licence-exempt RSSs. Operation is subject to the following two conditions: (1) This device may not cause interference, and (2) This device must accept any interference, including interference that may cause undesired operation of the device. High-power radars are allocated as primary users (i.e. priority users) of the bands 5,250-5,350 MHz and 5,650-5,850 MHz and that these radars could cause interference and/or damage to LE-LAN devices. Compliance with FCC requirement 15.407(c) Data transmission is always initiated by software, which is the passed down through the MAC, through the digital and analog baseband, and finally to the RF chip. Several special packets are initiated by the MAC. These are the only ways the digital baseband portion will turn on the RF transmitter, which it then turns off at the end of the packet. Therefore, the transmitter will be on only while one of the aforementioned packets is being transmitted. In other words, this unit automatically discontinues transmission in case of either absence of information to transmit or operational failure. Frequency Tolerance: ±12ppm 5,150-5,350 MHz band is restricted to indoor operations only. 5.47-5.725 GHz band is restricted to indoor operations only. Important Safety Instructions 1) Read these instructions. 2) Keep these instructions. 3) Heed all warnings. 4) Follow all instructions. 5) Do not use this apparatus near water. 6) Clean only with dry cloth. 7) Do not block any ventilation openings. Install in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions. 8) Do not install near any heat sources such as radiators, heat registers, stoves, or other apparatus (including amplifiers) that produce heat. 9) Do not defeat the safety purpose of the polarized or grounding-type plug. A polarized plug has two blades with one wider than the other. A grounding type plug has two blades and a third grounding prong. The wide blade or the third prong are provided for your safety. If the provided plug does not fit into your outlet, consult an electrician for replacement of the obsolete outlet. 10) Protect the power cord from being walked on or pinched particularly at plugs, convenience receptacles, and the point where they exit from the apparatus. 11) Only use attachments/accessories specified by the manufacturer. 12) Use only with the cart, stand, tripod, bracket, or table specified by the manufacturer, or sold with the apparatus. When a cart is used, use caution when moving the cart/ apparatus combination to avoid injury from tip-over. 13) Unplug this apparatus during lightning storms or when unused for long periods of time. 14) Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel. Servicing is required when the apparatus has been damaged in any way, such as power-supply cord or plug is damaged, liquid has been spilled or objects have fallen into the apparatus, the apparatus has been exposed to rain or moisture, does not operate normally, or has been dropped. The software update will be delivered from time to time when, for example, a new feature becomes available or the update is required for stable use. Such automatic software feature may not be disabled. Also, previous versions of the software cannot be retrievable. Do not turn off power of this unit while updating. The unit may not be operational while updating. To use this product, a Wi-Fi environment and Google Account are necessary, as well as your consent to Google Terms of Use and/or Privacy Policy. By using this product, you agree to Sony's EULA. Software for this product is automatically updated from time to time and you cannot choose or refuse to load such automatic software. Notes on water resistant feature (Read before using the unit) Water resistant performance of the unit This unit has a water resistant specification*1 of IPX3*2 as specified in "Degrees of protection against ingress of water" of the IEC60529 "Ingress Protection Rating (IP Code)." However, this unit is not completely water-tight. Do not drop the unit into water or purposely use it in water. Liquids that the water resistant performance specifications apply to Applicable : Not applicable : fresh water, tap water liquids other than the above (soapy water, water with detergent or bath agents, shampoo, hot spring water, pool water, seawater, etc.) *1 The supplied accessories are not water resistant. *2 IPX3 (Protected against spraying water.): For details, refer to Help Guide. The water resistant performance of the unit is based on our measurements under the conditions herein described. Note that malfunctions as a result of water immersion caused by misuse by the customer are not covered by the warranty. To avoid the deterioration of the water resistant performance Check the following and use the unit correctly. ˎˎDo not use or leave the unit in an extremely hot or cold environment (temperature outside the range of 5 °C - 35 °C (41 °F - 95 °F)). If the unit is used or left in outside the above range, the unit may automatically stop to protect internal circuitry. ˎˎBe careful not to drop the unit or subject it to mechanical shock. Deformation or damage may cause deterioration of the water resistant performance. ˎˎDo not use the unit in a location where large amount of water or hot water may splash on it. The unit does not have a design that is resistant to water pressure. Use of the unit in the above location may cause a malfunction. ˎˎDo not pour high-temperature water or blow hot air from a hair dryer or any other appliance on the unit directly. Also, never use the unit in high temperature locations such as in saunas or near a stove. How to care for the unit when wet If the unit gets wet, first remove the water from the unit, and then wipe off the moisture on the unit using a soft, dry cloth. Especially in cold regions, leaving moisture on its surface may cause the unit to freeze and malfunction. Be sure to wipe off the moisture after using the unit. Put the unit on towel or dry cloth. Then leave it at room temperature and dry the unit until no moisture remains. Lorsqu'un chariot est utilisé, faites preuve de prudence lorsque vous déplacez le chariot et l'appareil ensemble afin d'éviter de vous blesser. 13) Débranchez cet appareil pendant les orages ou lorsqu'il n'est pas utilisé pendant de longues périodes. 14) Demandez à un personnel qualifié d'effectuer toute réparation. Une réparation est nécessaire lorsque l'appareil a été endommagé de quelque façon que ce soit, comme le cordon d'alimentation ou la fiche a été endommagé, un liquide a été renversé ou un objet est tombé dans l'appareil, l'appareil a été exposé à la pluie ou à l'humidité, ne fonctionne pas normalement ou est tombé.
