What is a "MagicGate Memory Stick"? • "MagicGate" is a copyright protection technology that uses an encryption technology. • You can record or play data, such as music, that requires copyright protection only by using a "MagicGate Memory Stick" with "MagicGate" compatible equipment. • "MagicGate Memory Stick" can be used to record any kind of digital data with any other "Memory Stick" compatible equipment. For details on operations with "Memory Stick" compatible equipment, please refer to the instruction manual of each equipment. For the customers in U.S.A. The position and shape of this switch may differ according to the model. • We recommend that you make a backup copy of important data. • Do not remove the "MagicGate Memory Stick" while reading or writing data. • Recorded data may be damaged or lost in the following situations: - When you remove the "MagicGate Memory Stick" or turn off the power while reading or writing data. - When you use this unit in the locations subject to static electricity or electrical noise. Zur besonderen Beachtung • Berühren Sie den Anschluß des Memory Stick A nicht mit der Hand und nicht mit einem Metallgegenstand. • Der biegsame Vorsprung an der Rückseite des MagicGate Memory Stick unterscheidet ihn von einem normalen Memory Stick. B • Kleben Sie auf die Stelle D des Memory Stick nichts außer dem mitgelieferten Aufkleber. • Den Aufkleber so anbringen, daß er nicht von der richtigen Anbringstelle hervorsteht. • Verbiegen Sie die Einheit nicht, lassen Sie sie nicht fallen, und stoßen Sie sie nirgends an. • Bauen Sie die Einheit nicht auseinander und nehmen Sie keine Änderungen an ihr vor. • Achten Sie darauf, daß die Einheit nicht naß wird. • Legen Sie die Einheit nicht an folgende Plätze: - Plätze, die Hitze ausgesetzt sind. Lassen Sie die Einheit auch nicht in einem in der Sonne geparkten Wagen zurück. - Plätze, die direktem Sonnenlicht ausgesetzt sind. - Plätze, die Feuchtigkeit und korrosionfördernder Luft ausgesetzt sind. • Bewahren Sie die Einheit bei Nichtgebrauch stets in der Schachtel auf. • Wenn der Löschschutzschalter C des Memory Stick auf "LOCK" steht, ist kein Aufnehmen, kein Editieren und kein Löschen möglich.
