Mastering the basic operation Shooting still images In (Intelligent Auto) mode, the camera analyzes the subject, and allows you to shoot with appropriate settings. 1 Set the power switch to ON to turn on the camera. When the camera recognizes the scene, the Scene Recognition icon and guide appear on the LCD screen: (Night Scene), (Tripod Night Scene), (Night Portrait), (Backlight), (Backlight Portrait), (Portrait), (Landscape), (Macro), (Spotlight), (Low Brightness), or (Baby). Scene Recognition icon and guide 3 Adjust the zoom scale. When attaching the zoom lens, rotate the zoom ring of the lens. When attaching a lens with power zoom: • You can also zoom using the zoom lever on the lens or the W/T (zoom) lever of the camera. • The camera shifts automatically to the zoom feature of the camera when the magnification scale is greater than that of the optical zoom. Adjust the zoom scale.
