Tuner Functions Tuner Functions Presetting Radio Stations You can preset 20 FM stations, and 10 AM stations. Before tuning, make sure to turn down the volume to minimum. 1 Press FUNCTION +/- repeatedly until "TUNER FM" or "TUNER AM" appears in the front panel display. 2 Press and hold TUNING + or - until the auto scanning starts. Scanning stops when the system tunes in a station. "TUNED" and "ST" (for stereo program) appear in the front panel display. 3 Press MENU. 4 Press X/x repeatedly until "MEMORY" appears in the front panel display. 5 Press . A preset number appears in the front panel display. To change the AM tuning interval (except for Russian and Middle Eastern models) The AM tuning interval can be set to either 10 kHz or 9 kHz. To change the AM tuning interval, first tune in any AM station, then turn off the system by pressing "/1 on the system. While holding down > (on the system), press "/1 on the system to turn on the power. If you change the interval, AM preset stations will be erased. To reset the interval, repeat the same procedure. 6 Press X/x to select the preset number you want. 7 Press . The station is stored. 8 Repeat 1 to 7 to store other stations.
