VIRTUAL SURROUND DVD-V CD You can enjoy surround-sound effect over two speakers on this unit. 1 Hit [MODE] twice (CD: once) during play- back. OFF 2 Hit [ENTER] to set it "1" (Natural effect), "2" (Emphasized effect) or "OFF". 3 Hit [MODE] to exit. ¡You can also exit the menu by hitting [RETURN]. NOTE: (for CD play only) ¡Virtual Surround will not be effective if the sound mode is set to something other than STEREO. THE ON-SCREEN INFORMATION You can check the information about the current disc by hitting [DISPLAY]. DVD-V CD For DVD-Vs 1 Hit [DISPLAY] during playback to show cur- rent Chapter. ¡The elapsed and remaining playing time of the current 9/49 0:00:00 -0:03:30 chapter will be displayed. For Audio CDs 1 Hit [DISPLAY] during playback to show the current Track. ¡The elapsed and remaining playing time of the cur- rent track will be displayed. 4/12 0:03:21 - 0:02:15 T 2 Hit [DISPLAY] again to show current Title. ¡The elapsed and remaining playing time of the current title 1/3 0:00:00 - 1:23:45 will be displayed. 3 Hit [DISPLAY] again. ¡The bit rate and the current T L1 repeat setting will be displayed. ¡If you are playing a dual layered disc, the layer num- ber will also be displayed (L0: Layer 0 is playing.
